These are the leaders this season for SCAs per 90 minutes…
1) James Maddison (Tottenham) – 8.17 SCAs per 90 mins
The summer signing adapted to Spurs and Ange-ball seamlessly. He is ludicrously far ahead of the pack here and will stay there as injury keeps him out.
2) Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) – 6.10
Logged a truly remarkable 15 SCAs in that infuriating 2-0 defeat to West Ham. Secretly, he would probably quite like Arsenal to buy a striker, thank you.
3) Michael Olise (Crystal Palace) – 5.85
Has been largely brilliant in a pretty poor Palace side since his return from injury, particularly against Chelsea, who wanted his services in the summer.
4) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – 5.75
Logged a remarkable 12 SCAs in that infuriating 2-0 defeat to West Ham. Secretly, he would probably quite like Arsenal to buy a striker, thank you.
5) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 5.63
At the creative heart of Manchester United whether they are absolutely awful or slightly less awful.
6) Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) – 5.41
Logged 47 SCAs in his last seven Premier League starts, with 11 coming against Manchester United to absolutely no avail.
7) Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) – 5.31
He had 11 of the sods against Bournemouth alone. And then a quite astonishing eight v Liverpool, with four of those shots the direct result of dribbling past the (elite) opposition. He was much less effective v Spurs.
8) Pascal Gross (Brighton) – 5.10
Five assists in his last seven Premier League starts for one of the best all-rounders in the Premier League.
9) Jack Grealish (Manchester City) – 5.09
Back in the Manchester City side in the absence of Doku and he was particularly effective for Everton, when he made nine SCAs.
10) Pablo Sarabia (Wolves) – 5.07
The Spaniard has claimed three assists in his last five Premier League games to ensure that Wolves have not missed Pedro Neto too much.
