Julian Nagelsmann is ‘ready’ to take over as Chelsea manager ‘immediately’, according to reports in Germany.

Nagelsmann is one of the favourites to replace Potter, though the club are expected to take their time appointing a new boss.
Technical director Christopher Vivell – who is one of the men involved in the recruitment process – knows the German well from their time together at RB Leipzig.
Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claimed on Tuesday that there have been ‘no concrete discussions’ between Nagelsmann and Chelsea.
However, The Telegraph later claimed that Chelsea have made ‘contact’ with Nagelsmann and former Spain boss Luis Enrique.
This report reminded us that some claims from German media state the ex-Bayern Munich manager would prefer to take on the job at the end of 2022-23.

The Blues ‘wasted no time’ making contact with Nagelsmann and Enrique – who are both out of work, though Mauricio Pochettino, Luciano Spalletti, Oliver Glasner and Ruben Amorim are also being considered.
After Potter’s disappointing spell, it is believed that the club’s hierarchy want to appoint a head coach with experience managing a big club and have ‘ruled out’ Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.
Contrary to reports that Chelsea are hoping to take their time and that Nagelsmann would prefer to take over at the end of the season, it has been claimed by Sky Germany that the 35-year-old is willing to take over ‘immediately’.
Interestingly, Naglesmann is on gardening leave following his Bayern dismissal, meaning Chelsea will probably have to pay compensation to bring him in.
The Blues are in talks with the young manager – who has changed his stance and prefers an immediate arrival, as opposed to coming in this summer.
Bayern will ‘demand’ a fee as he is still contractually bound by the Bundesliga giants.
The club’s CEO, Oliver Kahn, discussed Nagelsmann’s exit over the weekend, stating that he does not expect him to take on a new job this season.
“I can hardly imagine him becoming a coach anywhere during the season. He will certainly need some time to let things set and reflect,” Kahn said.
He added: “It was our ambition to work with him on a long-term basis. That is always our goal. Nevertheless, we are of course also called upon, if you are responsible, to re-evaluate these things.”
