Steve Cooper’s job as Nottingham Forest boss is ‘becoming increasingly unstable’ ahead of Saturday’s huge clash against fellow strugglers Wolves.

It was an agonising wait to return to the top flight and Cooper is highly thought of amongst the club’s supporters for being able to make it happen.
Over 20 new players joined the club last summer, which was obviously done to help Cooper keep Forest up, but it has made his job difficult.
He has been under pressure countless times this season and there were reports he was close to losing his job last October before the Forest hierarchy shocked everyone by offering him a new contract.
The ex-England Under-17 boss agreed new terms until the summer of 2025, but is believed to be under a great amount of pressure ahead of the Premier League run-in.
Forest are without a league win since February 5 when they beat Leeds United at the City Ground.
That victory was part of an impressive nine-match unbeaten run at home, though Cooper’s side only won four of those encounters.
Forest climbed up the table during a positive run between the start of November and that win against Leeds, but are back in the thick of a brutal relegation battle.
They are currently 16th in the Premier League, two points above the relegation zone, where they could end up at the end of this weekend if results don’t go their way.
And according to The Telegraph, Saturday’s match at home to Wolves could be make or break for Cooper.

Cooper could be in ‘real trouble’ if Wolves – who are currently one point ahead of Forest – win on Saturday.
Forest fans are supportive of Cooper and his sacking ‘might not be received well’.
Another Premier League manager in danger of losing their job over the weekend is West Ham’s David Moyes.
Moyes and his staff ‘fear’ defeat to bottom-side Southampton could see them sacked.
Like Cooper, the Scot was close to losing his job earlier this term with a home match against Forest seen as crucial.
West Ham battered Cooper’s side on the day, which bought Moyes some more time to turn things around.
Interestingly, Forest, West Ham and Leicester are the only three of the nine clubs in the relegation fight not to change managers this season.
