Compare Jamie Dimon with @POTUSand any of the other candidates for president. None have his command of geopolitics, the global economy and more.

CEO Jamie Dimon should run for president.

“He should be our next president,” tweeted Ackman late Wednesday.

The tweet came in response to Dimon’s interview with the Economist on Tuesday. In a snippet posted to Twitter, Dimon was asked if he would run for office. He said, “I’ve never really believed I’m suited for it.”

Ackman, apparently, disagrees with the CEO.

He applauded Dimon’s “command of geopolitics, the global economy and more,” arguing that this makes him better suited for office compared to President Joe Biden “and any of the other candidates for president.”

This is not the first time Ackman cheered on a potential Dimon administration.

“Maybe one day I’ll serve my country in one capacity or another,” Dimon said in a Bloomberg interview at the end of May.

Ackman then tweeted, “we need an exemplary business, financial, and global leader to manage through what is likely to be a critically important decade for our country in determining our destiny. Jamie Dimon is that leader.”

He urged his followers to pressure Dimon into running, writing “this will be one of the most important elections in our country’s history. Jamie is more likely to run if we build a groundswell of support for him. Let’s do our civic duty and make it happen.”

JPMorgan later released a statement saying Dimon has “no plans” to run for office.

Dimon fueled presidential rumors when he said he “could beat Trump” during a 2018 conference.

He backtracked afterward, saying “I am not running for president” and arguing he’d be a bad fit for office because he made those comments.

There are 13 Republicans campaigning for the 2024 nomination as of now. In the Democratic party, most are rallying behind Biden, though Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are seeking the party’s nomination.
